About Nomad Camp

Nomad Camp, located about 14 kilometers from the town of Karakol near the breathtaking mountains of Kyrgyzstan, is the perfect base for adventurers on the way to the stunning Ala Kul Lake. Accessible by foot or partly by 4×4 jeep, the camp is open from the end of May to September. Guests can enjoy a unique overnight stay in traditional yurts and cozy tents, with breakfast and dinner included. The camp also features a cafeteria and bar at Yurt Camp, offering a peaceful night under the stars for hikers, nature lovers, and those seeking an authentic mountain experience.

Ala-Köl Lake (Alakol) is a high-altitude lake in the Terskey Alatau mountains, located at 3,532 meters above sea level. Its name means "Colorful Lake" due to the mix of turquoise water, snowy peaks, and alpine meadows. Facts about the lake: Location: Near the city of Karakol, in the Terskey Alatau range. Name meaning: "Colorful Lake". Tourism: One of the most popular trekking destinations in Kyrgyzstan. Access: Hiking routes through the Karakol Valley or over the Ala-Köl Pass. Features: Fed by glacial meltwater, the lake remains cold even in summer.
